"For such all round excellent laptops the L755 models are remarkably well priced for the premium specs available."

The Toshiba Satellite L755 is a subcategory of the L700 series there are marginal differences between L755 laptops now available, the –L755-1C6 is the most affordable and the L775-144 is the most up to date, it can output 3D and has a built-in Blu-ray drive.
If you are in need of a decent multimedia laptop or intend to use your computer for entertainment as well as work, then an L755 is well worth considering.
What we like best
We hesitate to call this a family computer for the best reason possible; it’s a little too good to trust your kids with. With integrated graphics and the latest second generation intel i-processors capable of running and displaying intenstive programs on the spacious screen. The Toshiba Satellite L755’s also have Onkyo speakers and Dolby Advanced Audio making them suitable for movie watching and online streaming.
The Sandy Bridge processor makes these laptops incredibly power efficient so you get a long life per charge, up to about 6 hours. This is an alternative to what you’d normally expect from Toshiba, we tend to expect stockier and classic designs, and externally they’re normally as indistinguishable as Sony’s choice of laptop names. With the L755 you can make your own choice of colour, and these machines come with a matrix pattern that minimises fingerprint smudging and looks stylish too.
For such all round excellent laptops the L755 models are remarkably well priced for the premium specs available and if your budget is specific models are available from high to low on the cost-scale.
What we like least
Major complaints have to be a lack of dedicated graphics, this is only if you don’t opt for the upper scale, so conserving price at the expense of graphics is understandable, however this is a multimedia notebook so you probably shouldn’t scrimp on the graphics. The L755s are also a bit short on USB ports, not readily accessible for using a mouse, which is a shame since the touchpad isn’t much of an improvement on any of the others and is a bit erratic.
We recommend the Toshiba Satellite L755 if you are after a laptop to share an equal weighting of work and play. The raw power of the processors mixed with screen and speakers will easily allow you to enjoy quality gaming and movie watching, but have no fear that the components of the L755s can be put to more professional use.

Toshiba Satellite L755
The age of complaining about tinny sounds from laptops appears to be over, provided you’re here to upgrade! The L755 comes with the lauded Dolby Advanced Audio and certain models in the L755 family come with Onkyo speakers, which provide excellent sound quality.
Some other additional goodies inherent in Toshiba’s L755 line is USB Sleep N Charge, so you can plug in your devices and charge them overnight. We’re also pleased to see Bluetooth 3.0 for improved file sharing.
